The most beautiful gulf of the Slovenian Coast is the gulf of Portorož. In Summer days the sand beach becomes a rainbow of coloured umbrellas and deckchairs. Little ones build sand castles, children enjoy playing volley-ball and sailing, parents sunbathe. Tourist boats sail to short trips from the main pier. Nice restaurants, little shops and cafettarias with delicious coffee and ice-cream follow one after the other on the coastal promenade. At night hotels are illuminated with delicate Mediterranean colours and they offer guests several massages, beauty salons and thermal facilities. A renovated beauty lies in the centre of Portorož – the Palace Hotel – Kempinski. On the south there is the Portorož marina, the best one in this part of the Adriatic and Forma Viva, a sculpture paradise in nature. On the other side one of the most beautiful coastal promenades leads us to Hotel Bernardin and later to Piran. In case you would like to experience a flight, you can see all the Slovenian Coast from air in just 15 minutes starting form the Portorož airport. It is small, but still there is a lot to see.
