This medieval port town impresses every visitor with its image. It is a peninsula in the Adriatic sea, with the church of Saint George with the campanile (tower) and the Piran Angel on top. The entrance to town is protected by town-walls that marks the whole image of the town. Narrow stony streets with small houses lead to the big Tartini Square, with the maestro and his violin in the middle. The large palaces on the square tell us the long and rich history of the town.
Piran is one of the most beautiful coastal Meditarranean towns. Come to visit us and discover its beauty.
